Five Little Raindrops – Counting Up and Counting Down – Free Pattern

Five Little Raindrops

Five Little Raindrops – Counting Up to Five

One little raindrop in the dark, dark sky

Two little raindrops watch the clouds roll by

Three little raindrops go splat, splat, SPLAT

Four little raindrops, we’ll need boots for that!

Five little raindrops and still no sun?

That’s too much for us, we’d better… RUN!

Five Little Raindrops – Counting Down Again

Five little raindrops plopping on the floor,

One plopped away, and then there were four.

Four little raindrops dripping on the trees,

One dripped away, and then there were three.

Three little raindrops splashing on my shoe,

One splashed away, and then there were two.

Two little raindrops starting to run,

One ran off, and then there was one.

One little raindrop drying in the sun,

It dried all up, and then there were none!

RAINY was the Weather

Rainy was the Weather Felt Board Magic

Tune: BINGO
There was a day when we got wet
And Rainy was the weather.
R-A-I-N-Y, R-A-I-N-Y, R-A-I-N-Y
And Rainy was the weather.
There was a day so dark and grey,
And Rainy was the weather.
R-A-I-N-Y, R-A-I-N-Y, R-A-I-N-Y
And Rainy was the weather.

This is a super simple felt set to make. Having the letters on the board promotes the recognition of letters and builds an understanding of the ink between the name of the letter and what the letter looks like.

Incy Wincy Spider Climbed Up the Water Spout

Incy Wincy, Itsy Bitsy, Eensy Weensy.

However you sing this traditional nursery rhyme, it’s alway a favourite with young children.

Incy Wincy Spider climbed up the water spout.
Down came the rain and washed poor Incy out.
Out came the sunshine and dried up all the rain.
And Incy Wincy Spider climbed up the spout again.

Incy Wincy Spider

The pieces in this felt set are huge.

Spider 21cm x 6cm
Water Spout 31cm x 23.5cm
Sun 12.5cm
Storm Cloud 21cm x 13.5cm
Five Raindrops 5cm x 3.5cm

The spider is triple layered with withstand lots of handling, and has very dangly legs that have so much personality as he  climbs up and down the water spout.

What’s the Weather Felt Board Set

What's the Weather Felt Board Magic

I created a large felt set to use when talking about the weather. The pieces in this set are large – the sun is over 12cm across – the clouds are 17cm across.

Here is a song  about the weather to use with the felt set.

Tune: Oh My Darling Clementine

What’s the weather?
What’s the weather?
What’s the weather like today?
Is it windy?
Is it cloudy?
Is there rain?
Or is there sun ?

What’s the weather?
What’s the weather?
What’s the weather like today?
Is it stormy?
Is it snowing?
Is it hot?
Or is it cold?

What’s the weather?
What’s the weather?
What’s the weather like today?
Is there lightning?
Is i there thunder?
Is there snow?
Or a Rainbow?

Here are some closeups of the individual pieces
